Flex-a-lite electric fan installation
There was a noticable improvement in engine noise and performance after installing the electric fan. I had noticed that the cooling
efficiency of the engine had significantly diminished after the body lift (had to cut the lower part of the fan shroud). The electric
fan took care of most of my problems, although the engine will still overheat a little when going up steep hills in the Summer. I also
removed the giant off-road lights to improve air flow.

Everything is ready for the flex-a-lite electric fan installation. Removing the mechanical fan is very easy. You just have to loosen
a few bolts and it slides right off the pulley. Remember to put the bolts back and tighten before starting the engine! |

The flex-a-lite is really easy to install. The brackets that come with the kit fit right onto the radiator and hold the fan
in place. Then you need to connect the ground, +12V, and an iginition wire (+12V when ignition key is in ON position).
I also connected the optional airconditioning wire (connects to the AC compressor) that makes the fan turn on whenever AC is on. |
